| It's certainly been a while.
I've moved in the new house, settled in and the dogs have gotten used to the place aswell. I felt a it weird being in here at first but now I love it. I don't tink the neighbourhood is that bad for the dogs either. There's a few good walking routes and it takes 15 minutes at most with a bus to get back to the forests that we used to live by. The house feels a lot more like home than anywhere else I've lived in the past couple of years, so it alone has made me feel better about the surroundings aswell. I sort of wish I could take this house and move it closer to where I used to live. :) And the views are just fantastic.
I'm thinking of saving some money and buying solar panels in the balcony once it's built. If everyone would have solar panels on their roof and on their balkony and all buildins would have at least one or two windmills on the roof, we would be a lot closer to solving the energy crisis with a clean and renewable energy. We would't need powerplants, because all buildings were a power plant. We'd just need valiant politics to actually set up some kind of system to benefit everyone and encourage people to build more solar and wind power. Not just a few people but every single one. - Tags:life?

| The new blog for Gizmo and Yoda can be found from: http://naatseri.blogspot.com/I guess I might write more in here later, kind of haven't had time and have been able to say the things I need at the dogs blog. :) It's in Finnish though so might make it more difficult to follow for some people. - Feeling:busy

| I'm a bit dissapointed of the new pack of Orien I bought. The kibble diameter used to be about 12mm and is now 16mm... Now it doesn't sound very much, but when you calculate the area you get 78% increase in size. When I only use dry food for training, it means I get to do less repetitions or they will get fat. Yoda likes the improvement though as he gets more food. Gizmo Yoda Some standing images. Yoda got a bit better handling because some dogs actually know how to stay back when asked and not try to rush in to another dogs pictures. :) | |

| I think I found where to buy the food for the dogs after we move. There's a pet shop in Tikkurila that is supposed to sell it. We can take a walk with the dogs over there and I don't have to spend any extra time to get the food, since it will also provide the day walk for us.
Gizmo stole my miniature shnauzer soft toys today and removed thr nose from all of them. She has always adored those toys, because she isn't allowed to touch them. I glued the parts back together and you can hardly tell they have been attacked but I need to keep them higher from now on so she doesn't try to repeat the crime.
I made a reward system for myself to study chemistry. I can eat 3 grapes after chapters that I have read and understoop. After that I will write down the important parts of the chapters to receive more grapes. If it works for the dogs I'm sure it will work for me too. I actually got the whole first part of the book done already.

| We have a new home! It's still under repairs but we will move in 16th of next month. I can't even start to describe how happy person I am right now! :) I'm not at all worried about anything anymore. I will have my own living room! And my own kitchen! ^^
The problem right now seems to be that I can't find a place to buy NEU from anywhere even remotely close to the house, my school or my work. I have such a busy schedule right now and it won't come any lighter with the house since both my school and my work trips will take just as much time as they do now. So between where will I have time to start at least halve an hour trip one way (probably longer) to go buy dog food? I wouldn't want to take the time from our day walks, though I guess I will have to if nothing else comes up. Hopefully I will have more freezer room than now so I don't have to buy it once a week. - Tags:life?

| We were at an unofficial obedience contest with Gizmo today in Mäntsälä. Reinforcing the dog during the contest was allowed but would lower the score, so I used some with her since we haven't really been training the whole winter. It went really well. ( Read more about it... )- Tags:gizmo

| The Global Population Speak Out campaign is set to this month to raise discussion about the overpopulation of our Earth. At least I won't be contributing to the problem since I won't be having any children. Not just because I think overpopulation is the one biggest problem with the environment as well as economics crisis, but also I can't say I'd enjoy having screaming, running and self destructive little people around me.
But I do believe most of the problems could be solved by restricting the amount of people on the planet. And not just restricting growth, but also terminating some exsistent ones... We could start of those people whose ecologigal footprint would be highest. It would be for the good of all the rest. If removing some of the problematic people now we could save millions for later. No need to start sending cops at my doors though as this is not a threat. I know it would be impossible to set up and I'm not intending to organize a mass murder or something... I guess this is granted but dunno if one can be sure with all the crazyness going on. But I don't think the problem is only in the developing countries whose population are rising far faster than ours. They also don't spend the natural resources as much as one USA citizen would. For every one african or Indian person we should eradicate at least a dozen people from developed countries to cover for the amount of extra resources they use. Or they could save themselves by paying a tax to educate 12 girls from developing countries since that we know would work towards reducing the amount of children they will have.
Either way I think comprehensive research would be needed about exactly how many people the planet is cabable of carrying without great problems.

| I just realised how little time it will be until release of Sims 3. It looks nice from the outside with the open city, but I'm not sure about all the things I've heard about the build mode. I don't really care to play with the sims a lot, but I do like building the town. It can't be much worse than in sims 2, they must of learned a bit from the new SimCity... The buildings do look nice from outside on the screencaps. I hope it will be good. Some of the things sound just great so at least it has got to be wort a try.
I guess nothing in the world is more beautiful than two schnauzers sleeping next to each other. Especialy when their just brushed. With Edla I had developed a habit of brushing her every other day and once I got Gizmo I continued that habit for a long while though it was very much unnecessary. She doesn't get tangles, unless she eats some really sticky treats or something, so eventually I learned to brush her about once a week, sometimes not even that often to keep the fur in good condition. Now I'm having hard time remembering to go back to the brushing every other or at least every 3 days with Yoda who would really need it. He has a lot more thick fur than Gizmo and gets tangles very easily. Not to mention his habit of sticking his nose to everywhere so his beard looks sometimes very suspicious.

Training with Gizmo this weekend. :) We haven't done proper rehearsals in a long time so she isn't doing the best she can, but pretty good. Also why I didn't dare to try anything too difficult. I need to practice my posture when training too so there's a lot work ahead of us still. We are going for some very basic unofficial obedience contest in 2 weeks.

| I ordered a training vest for when I'm training with the dogs but I'm not really sure if they will make it or not. I did leave the order and they sent me a question about the color, which I replied but got no reply back from it. Maybe they had nothing to reply to it, who knows, but I have been accustomed to get some sort of order confirmation or something...
I'm going to Germany to work for a month, most likely in May. Not sure what kind of office yet but either architects office or an engineering office. I don't kknow what to do with the dogs though, as I'd like to take them with me but it might be difficult to set it up. Also I'm pretty sure Gizmo would not like for me to leave her alone for the workday on some house she has never been in before. If she will bark in the house for the whole month I'm sure people aren't going to be too happy about it and it's even less good for Gizmo. I might take just Yoda and leave Gizmo home but I guess seperating them wouldn't be the best idea either. Or maybe it would be good for them. I'll have to think about it. I know I can't survive a whole month without the dogs so I'd really like to take them with me... - Tags:life?

| The dogs got an activation game of a kind for Christmas. It's got removable bricks on the other side, under which treats can be added and on the other side it has little slideable bricks that you can hide the treats behind and you can also add some of those removables there to make it more difficult. Right now it's still a great puzzle for them how to use it but it's just good thing that it's not too easy. At first the removables were too small though, you could push them out of their places very easily, so I added some tape around them to make them better fit the holes for them. Now they can't just push them off but they need to lift them. They also got stuffed toys and some bones. | |

| It's been busy now before christmas. Had some shots at farming the extra rare polar bear minipet in Guild Wars but no luck yet. I'm pretty sure my sister will get one. She will farm day and night for it before she does. ^^ I don't seem to have enough patiency and even if Id get the bear I wouldn't know what to do with it. I guess let my sister dedicate it and then sell it sometime after christmas. I think the sale value would be pretty high even if it would be dedicated.
I should clean up here tomorrow. And get something to cover my bed. I was insisting on not buying a coverage for the bed since after I move to the new flat I will have a bigger bed and will have to buy a new one, then can take the old one here at my parents place. But the dogs are bringing so much sand inside right now that I can't enjoy clean sheets for more than the one night after I have changed them. This has got to change, I have a somewhat high standard about what the sheets and the bed needs to be. It does not involve having the whole front yard grow there. And especially Yoda has this lovely habit of going to clean and dry himself after getting inside by rolling in those sheets of mine.
I thought I could sleep long in the mornings once my vacation starts but no. It was stupid of me to even think so.

| I tested my ecological footprint with the http://www.myfootprint.org/ calculator. It seems as if everyone would spend like I do we would need 2,45 earths to cover it. :P I feel bad now. But most of it came from my trips to work though I use bus and metro and my trips at my parents where I always go with them in a shared car. Another big portion was food, though I feel it wasn't detailed enough on that. Like it says I use 8.53 global hectares of marine fisheries footprint though I never eat fish. The result was that my total footprint is 38.56 global hectacres, while the average for Finnish person would be 68.81 and goods&services plus housing was only 7.49 of my total while for average Finnish they would be 29.87. So I guess I'm not the worst out there. :P | |
